Cities in India vary from cosmopolitan to metropolitan in nature with good tourism and travel facilities by air and land. Small towns too are well connected by rail and road throughout the country. The primary cities and towns that serve as important tourism hubs are:

India Religions
India is a secular country and is home to people from all religions of the world. Majority are Hindus followed by Muslims, Buddhist, Christians, Zoroastrians, Sikhs, Judas and the Bahai Faith.
India Languages
The national language of the country is Hindi. This apart most educated Indians can communicate in English. There are 18 officially recognised languages, essentially the dialects of different regions, besides nearly a hundred local lingo are spoken by native communities.
India Festivals
Festivities in India are essentially of two kinds. One that is connected with worship and oblation to divinity and considering the deep religious sentiments of the communities they make the largest group of fiestas. The other group of festivities are connected to social events and regional almanac like new year celbrations of different regions from January to April, then there are festival of colours, festival of lights, festivities of seasons and so on. Festivities in India are generally characterised by colour, gaiety, celebrations, feasts and a variety of prayers and rituals.
